By omar.abighosn, Feed Name: Taming the Wind
Preview: Some photos of Byblos historical ruins- my favourite hangout spot during the day-where I go to read a book or sometimes have a photoshoot with a friend who visits from overseas. The human soul holds so much mystery. We tend to ignore the unknown and focus on things the way we were programmed to view them. There are so many different ways of doing things.  Wouldn't it be nice to ....

Post Title: Onward and Upward Down Under
By AaronSternDrums, Feed Name: Aspire to Inspire
Preview: I spent my last tour in Australia a miserable human being. I couldn't get over some petty arguments that I had had with my band and I became reclusive. I was jaded. Here I was my first time ever in a place where most people would die to visit and I didn't want to leave my hotel room. I'd rather sulk. It took me a couple of years before I was finally able to gain some perspective. ....

Post Title: My MOOC overload #CMC11
By CathyLAnderson, Feed Name: Cathy's Mixed Bag, distance education, photography
Preview: Ok I am doing it again! I thought maybe I had lost my enthusiasm for learning new things in different ways. I don't think I lost that I think I just couldn't carve out the time to keep track of all the opportunities. I am turning into a junky with the latest education initiative and that is a MOOC. So far I know of at least four interesting MOOCs going on ..two of which I am ....

Post Title: Transliteracy… What if…
By eccentricbeing, Feed Name: azzasvoice
Preview: So I have been reading  and watching You Tube videos in an attempt to understand transliteracy.  From what I have come to understand, it is simply the ability to learn from a variety of methods and resources. For more educational purposes there is this definition- “Transliteracy is the ability to read, write and interact across [...]

Title: Creativity at the ripe Old Age of 50
Preview: Upon reviewing the slide show, I have now discovered that there's hope for my brain. All this time I just thought that my brain was done being creative. There are times when I think that creativity will come to me, but I have hit a dead end. Is it that my brain has run out of ideas, or is it that I really don't have a creative bone left in my body? Now that I have hit the big 50, I .......

Title: Onward and Upward Down Under
Preview: Hi Aaron,I think when you went back, you were there with a different thought process. I have ran into the same type of thing years back. If you go with a negative energy, then it consumes you. I find the pictures to be great. It's always funny to see how another culture lives, especially the food. I could never image the bike thing working here in the states. I'm sure that if the bike .......

Title: #cmc11 Creativity Videos I love!
Preview: I really do need to have my 2010 taxes done by this evening ... I do ... and I have been working on them in fits and starts for weeks now.  May I tell the IRS that you dragged me away form an exciting time with numbers and calendars and facts and figures that a creative person finds difficult to wrap her head around?  Or do I just admit that I would rather pay the penalty for the uber .......

Title: Visual Transliteracy
Preview: What a fabulous way to learn some history!  Thanks, so much, Barbara ... you truly have the magic within yourself and I am so glad you are willing to share it with us.  This also reminds me of a current activity  from another MOOC (ds106).  This is a MOOC on Digital Storytelling and folks are uploading noted movie and/or book titles ... only with a twist.  The title must .......

Title: Re: Transliteracy
Preview: Hi Carol,I think that it is hard to wrap my head around all of this technology. I find it a little daunting because I guess I just can't figure out alot of this stuff. Its interesting that you stress that "one size never fits all of us" because I feel this way about most students. To deviate off topic, this is something that I wish school districts would see because then maybe school would ....

Title: Re: Connectivism
Preview: Connectivism is a new word to me. So, I come here to get some sense of it. But, your's question led me to think if it is a wrong interperation when we only see human-machine-websites connection. As the matter of the fact, machine-websites are only the media set in the middle of human connections. Just like us, without your post, I won't give this follow. If you think in this way, I am ....
